Lib Dems take lead in Parliament on small business support

Lib Dems, the natural party for business, is leading in Parliament to prevent small businesses and self-employed are supported. Over 150 MPs united to support the ExcludedUK All-Party Parliamentary Group’, speaking up for the self-employed and others who have been left out of Government financial support during the pandemic. 

“It is simply unacceptable that many individuals are ineligible for every kind of support, even Universal Credit, for entirely arbitrary reasons. … the fact that so many MPs have requested to take part is testament to how many of us want to see the Government help the 3 million people who have been left behind during the pandemic.” said Liberal Democrat MP and Chair of the APPG for ExcludedUK, Jamie Stone 

The launch made House of Commons history, with the highest ever launch attendance and first Facebook livestream to MPs working away from Westminster.
